One of a series of butterfly designs I did in early 2004. I had written a very short story about a whispering spider and screaming butterflies and then just did this.
A simple sketch I did in 2000 that has ended up being one of my favorites.
I wanted to do something “zen” and show a balance. Sun and Moon, Yin and Yang…literally!

Chalk drawing of a belly dancer. The image is from a photograph I took at our local renfair in 2007. Sadly that was the last time we could make it out there. I’m hoping to assemble a big group of friends for a 2010 visit.
